§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeWe are proposing to introduce new traffic sign regulations very soon. The regulations will dispense with the need to light some signs in lit areas. They will increase the number and range of signs which can be erected by local authorities without the need to seek450W authorisation from the Department. I intend to reduce further the work of review and modification of signs and the authorisation of specific local signs.
