HC Deb 19 June 1980 vol 986 c666W
Mr. Latham

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many written submissions he has received in response to his consultation paper on proposals to amend the General Development Order 1977 ; whether he is still adhering to the published date of 30 April by which all comments were expected to be received ; what further action he now proposes to take ; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. King

Over 300 written submissions have so far been received by my Department about the proposals to relax planning controls over minor development by amending the General Development Order 1977. The majority of these were received before 30 April, but a number have been received since that date and these will be taken into consideration. The responses are now being studied, and we will be announcing our final proposals in due course.
