§ Mr. Eldon Griffithsasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if the tenants' charter will provide protection for council tenants against councils which threaten those who refuse to surrender portions of their gardens for future council use with possession orders and possible eviction.
§ Mr. StanleyChapter II of part I of the Housing Bill will give security of tenure to the great majority of council tenants. It will then only be possible for landlords to obtain possession on one of the grounds listed in schedule 4 to the Bill.
