Mr. Henderson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will take powers to ensure that, when applications for planning permission are put before a council, neighbouring proprietors must necessarily be informed, as is the case when applications are made for building warrant.

Mr. Rifkind

This possibility is under consideration as part of the review of the general development order.
