§ Mr. Craigenasked the Secretary of State for Scotland why he has not responded to the request by the Scottish Committee of the National League of the Blind and Disabled for a meeting at ministerial level to discuss the welfare of the blind and disabled in Scotland.
§ Mr. FairgrieveThe matters which the league wishes to discuss are largely the responsibility of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Employment. It was therefore told that its request for a meeting was being passed to the Manpower Services Commission, which has offered to meet the league on a mutually convenient date. I understand that this offer has not so far been accepted.
