§ Mr. Mark CarlisleThe number of people registered by the Department of Employment as unemployed and seeking employment as schoolteachers in England in June 1980 was 6,543. This is the lowest figure since June 1978. The number of schoolteachers unemployed was reduced during the school year by about 30 per cent.
