§ Sir Ian GilmourFollowing discussions with Spanish officials on 18 July, when I was assured that the commitment to the Lisbon agreement on Gibraltar remains, contacts with the Spanish Government over their implementation continue through diplomatic channels. However, I cannot as yet give a date for the opening of the frontier and the start of negotiations; we are continuing to press for early action.
