§ Mr. Norman Atkinsonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will agree in principle to full reversibility so far as tax allowances are concerned of a woman who is a dependant of her husband and a man who is a dependant of his wife.
§ Mr. Peter Rees[pursuant to his reply, 4 August 1980]: The tax allowances due where a woman is dependent on her husband and where a man is dependent on his wife will be one of the subjects examined in the Green Paper which we intend to publish later this year. We shall take into account the response to the Green Paper in formulating any proposals for changing the present rules.
