§ Miss Maynardasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, of the 164 tonnes of 2,4,5-T imported into Great Britain in 1979, how much was re-exported and to where; and why the British Policies Advisory Committee has been able to account for the use of only 3 tonnes in the country.
§ Mr. Peter Rees[pursuant to his reply, 4 August 1980]: Customs and Excise records show that 116 tonnes of 2,4,5-T were imported in 1979 but re-exports of the herbicide are not separately identified. The information requested is therefore not available. As for United Kingdom usage, I refer the hon. Member to the reply given by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food on 20 June 1980.—[Vol. 986, c. 707–9.]
