§ Lord AVEBURYasked Her Majesty's Government:
Whether they will amend paragraph 10 of the Immigration Rules, so that a visa national may come and go freely during the currency of his limited leave to remain, without requiring him to obtain another visa each time, as provided for under Section 3(3) (b) of the Immigration Act 1971.
§ Lord BELSTEADNo. Anyone who needs to make frequent journeys to the United Kingdom, and meets the relevant requirements of the Immigration Rules may, if his country provides similar facilities for United Kingdom nationals, apply for a continuous visa which would normally he valid for any number of entries during a period up to six months. A person who is already in the United Kingdom may make similar application to the Passport Office.
