HC Deb 27 March 1979 vol 965 cc158-9W
Mrs. Bain

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list in the Official Report the reduction of staff numbers at each Scottish college of education as a result of (a) natural wastage and (b) voluntary redundancy following the agreements negotiated in 1978 when it was agreed that all Scottish colleges of education should remain in existence.

Mr. Milan

Following my decision in December 1977 that all 10 colleges of education in Scotland should be retained, the reduction in numbers of academic staff during 1978 was as follows:

Callendar Park 3 12
Cragie Nil 8
Craiglockhart 2 4
Dundee 2 21
Dunfermline Nil Nil
Hamilton 1 13
Jordanhill 6 25
Moray House 7 27
Notre Dame 3 19
