§ Mr. Kenneth Clarkeasked the Secretary of State for Industry whether he will make a statement setting out progress with the programme of workshops to improve awareness of the need to accelerate the application of microtechnology in British industry; and what proposals his Department has to follow up and assess the results of this programme.
Mr. Alan WilliamsThe awareness workshop programme will be started in May and will run throughout the country until July. We aim to provide relevant briefing to 3,000 of the key decision-makers in the top 1,000 companies. My Department will monitor and assess the results of the programme on a continuous basis.
