Notes:

(1) Primary schools open 2 mornings a week.

(2) About 70 per cent. of GCE Advanced level pupils are being taught (about 600); about 60 per cent. of 4th and 5th year pupils are being taught (about 10,100) and about 20 per cent. of primary school pupils are being taught (about 4,300).

(3) The Darlington area only is affected. For primary schools and the first 4 years in secondary schools, schools are open 2 hours a day for 2 days each week.

(4) It is not possible to distinguish between secondary pupils affected and those in 5th, 6th and 7th forms without incurring considerable extra expenditure.
