§ The Earl of KIMBERLEYasked Her Majesty's Government:
Whether they will ask BAe, in view of the statement in Flight International of 10th February about delay in development of the JET project, and removal of Concorde jigs, what work is envisaged for the Weybridge/Filton Division.
160WAfacilities in teaching for important examinations; and what action can be taken to deal with this problem.
§ Lord DONALDSON of KINGS-BRIDGEAlthough several local education authorities in the North East have been badly affected by industrial action, the situation is not straightforward. Local education authorities are responsible for the day to day running of education in their areas and they are not all facing the same problems. It would not be practicable to provide the information in the form requested by the noble Baroness, but I hope that the following information obtained from the local education authorities concerned which relates to the position on 14th February will be helpful. The table shows what action local authorities are taking to deal with the problem.
§ Lord LEONARDThis is a matter for British Aerospace, who have been informed of the noble Earl's Question.
