§ Mr. Corbettasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what are the gross earnings of those employed by the London ambulance service; and on how many hours overtime each week this estimate is based.
§ Mr. Deakins, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 25 January 1979; Vol. 961, c. 246] gave the following information:
This information is not routinely collected. A sample survey in May 1978 indicated that the average weekly gross earnings of ambulance men of all grades employed by the London ambulance service were £87.05, including estimated average overtime of 10 hours.
