§ Mr. Rookerasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he expects the review of local authority boundaries to be completed in time for the 1980 elections in Birmingham to be held on up-to-date ward boundaries.
§ Mr. WhitelawI have not yet received the report of the Local Government Boundary Commission for England proposing new electoral arrangements for the city of Birmingham. It is therefore not possible for me to say when these new arrangements are likely to be brought into effect.
