§ Mr. Rostasked the Secretary of State for Industry whether he will estimate, in the case of each quasi-autonomous non-governmental organisation for which he is responsible the total expenditure for each year to 1977–78 since its establishment.
§ Mr. Les Huckfield,pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 29 March 1979; Vol. 965, c. 316], gave the following answer:
The term "quasi autonomous non-governmental organisation" is not officially defined. In respect of the following relevant public bodies (other than nationalised industries) to which my right hon. Friend makes appointments the expenditure is published:
Copies of these bodies' annual reports are in the Library. In respect of the other public bodies to which he makes appointments, the expenditure is either trivial or the information would be too costly to produce.
