Lists of individual firms receiving selective assistance are published quarterly inTrade and Industry in accordance with arrangements announced in the House on 31 July 1974 by my right hon. Friend the then Secretary of State. The lists exclude cases where assistance is below the prescribed minima and cases where no payment has so far been made.
A list of the kind requested relating to offers under section 8 of the Industry Act 1972 to projects in the North-West region was given on 15 March 1979 in answer to a question by my hon. Friend the Member for Nelson and Colne [Official Report, Vol. 964, c. 274–6]. The corresponding list relating to offers made under section 7 is given below.
