Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Lord President of the Council why there were no cheese rolls available to Members in the Members' self-service cafeteria on 27 March; and whether, since the cost to Members of making a cheese roll from cheese and roll and butter supplied is 33p, and since heat, rates, light and other equipment are supplied he will list the factors which go to make up this cost.

Cheese rolls are readily available in the Members' cafeteria, and are made up on request.

The factors making up the price are market price of materials ruling at the time, percentage mark-up, the cost of labour, and VAT.

asked the Lord President of the Council when the price of a portion of chips in the Refreshment Department was increased to 14p; what is the average weight of each portion; and what was the cost per pound of the potatoes used for the latest convenient date.
