HC Deb 08 May 1978 vol 949 c394W
Mr. Sproat

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what has been the total cost of running the Advisory Board for Research Councils, including all main constituent costs of any sort whatsoever, such as expenditure on its own programmes, wages, rent, heating and lighting, maintenance, &c., in the latest 12 months for which figures are available; and what are the projected costs for 1978–79.

Mrs. Shirley Williams

Estimated costs at 1977 prices are £56,000 for 1977–78 and £72,000 for 1978–79. These include an allowance, which is necessarily approximate, for secretariat services and facilities provided by my Department.
