§ Rev. Ian Paisleyasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what action is he taking to ensure that 96 workers in the New Kilroot Power Station and 285W employed by Aiton and Co. will have their jobs safeguarded.
§ Mr. Concannon, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 2nd May 1978; Vol. 949 c. 95], gave the following information:
I understand that 84 employees of Aiton and Company, Kilroot power station site, have applied to an industrial tribunal alleging unfair dismissal by the company. As these cases are awaiting consideration by the tribunal it would not be proper for me to comment at this stage.
