§ Mr. Bradfordasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will disclose the amount of money allocated to the Department of Education to be expended in the Dunmurry area in the financial year 1978–79.
§ Mr. Carter, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 3rd May 1978], gave the following information:
The financial resources allocated to the Department of Education are not earmarked for particular geographical areas nor are the recurrent grants from the Department of Education to the education and library boards identifiable with a particular district. I can, however, tell the hon. Member that in or around the Dunmurry area work is already under way or will start in 1978–79 on capital projects to the value of £2.6 million, of which £0.9 million is likely to be spent in the financial year 1978–79.
