The available statistics indicate that during the past year 3,671 persons under 18 years of age have received training in Government Training Centres and of this number 2,034 were apprentices who were retained in training until placed in suitable employment. Of the remainder, 38 per cent. of those who completed training were immediately placed in employment.

Of the remainder, 30 per cent. of those who completed training were immediately placed in employment.

(5) how many persons, male and female, are signing the unemployed 288W register quarterly at the Falls Road and Shankill Road social security offices in West Belfast, respectively.
§ Mr. Carter, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 26th April 1978; Vol. 948, c. 610], gave the following information:
The latest available figures for people signing the unemployed registers at Falls Road social security office and Shankill (Danube Street) sub-office of Corporation Street social security office are 6,214 and 2,190 respectively, of whom 187–176 male and 11 female—and 50–39 male and 11 female—sign quarterly; 2,015 and 974 respectively qualify for unemployment benefit; 3,949 and 1,097 do not, of whom 3,894 and 1,052 are in receipt of supplementary benefit. The claims for unemployment benefit of 250 and 119 people respectively have not yet been determined.
