asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will list the members of the Roads Safety Council for Northern Ireland; and what grants have been made to the Council during 1976–77.

The Road Safety Council for Northern Ireland is a non-statutory body whose membership comprises a representative from each of the following voluntary road safety groups:

name the individuals. There are one or more full-time trade union officials on each of the following bodies, against which the relevant payment is noted:

  • Antrim Road Safety Committee.
  • Approved Driving Instructors' Association (NI).
  • Ballymena Road Safety Committee.
  • Ballymoney Road Safety Committee.
  • Ballynahinch Road Safety Committee.
  • Bangor Road Safety Committee.
  • Belfast Road Safety Committee.
  • British Insurance Association (NI)
  • Business and Professional Women's Clubs.
  • Carrickfergus Road Safety Committee.
  • Castlereagh Road Safety Committee.
  • Coleraine Road Safety Committee.
  • Cookstown Road Safety Committee.
  • Crawfordsburn Road Safety Committee.
  • Cyclist Touring Club.
  • Donaghadee Road Safety Committee.
  • Downpatrick Road Safety Committee.
  • Dungannon Road Safety Committee.
  • Dungiven Road Safety Committee.
  • Fermanagh Road Safety Committee.
  • Holywood Road Safety Committee.
  • Irish National Teachers' Association.
  • Kilkeel Road Safety Committee.

During the financial year 1976–77 the council received a grant of £25,000.
