HC Deb 30 January 1978 vol 943 c66W
Mr. Bradford

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will intervene in the dispute involving drivers of the Eastern Health and Social Services Board which is disrupting services for the disabled in Northern Ireland.

Mr. Carter

My noble Friend the Minister of State has kept in close touch with this dispute and the Government have given the Eastern Health and Social Services Board full support in its efforts to take every possible step to minimise the effects of any disruption of services to disabled people. At the request of the social service drivers concerned, my noble Friend will shortly be meeting a deputation led by their trade union representatives.
