asked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) how many deer control fences erected by the Forestry Commission in Scotland are no longer being maintained by it;

(2) what is the total amount spent by the Forestry Commission in Scotland during each of the last five years on (a) maintained and (b) unmaintained fire breaks;

(3) what is the total amount spent by the Forestry Commission in Scotland in each of the last five years on (a) maintained and (b) unmaintained deer fences;

(4) what mileage of roads within Forestry Commission land in Scotland is used exclusively by Forestry Commission transport;

(5) what mileage of roads within Forestry Commission land in Scotland used exclusively by Forestry Commission transport (a) is maintained to normally accepted standards, (b) has trees planted hard against the track, and (c) has trees planted 5 or 10 yards from the track;

(6) what mileage of roads within Forestry Commission land in Scotland used by Forestry Commission and other transport (a) is maintained to normally accepted standards, (b) has trees planted hard against the track, and (c) has trees planted 5 or 10 yards from the track;

(7) what mileage of roads within Forestry Commission land in Scotland used by Forestry Commission transport and neighbouring farmers (a) is maintained to normally accepted standards, (b) has trees planted hard against the track, and (c) has trees planted 5 or 10 yards from the track.
