§ Mr. Fauldsasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the precise amount allocated to his Department on 1st April 1978 in respect of the £1 million set aside for the preservation of the national heritage as a consequence of the announcement on 26th October 1977, as revalued to current prices.
§ Mr. McElhoneSubject to the approval of Parliament, a total of up to £142,000 will be made available in 1978–79 to the Scottish national institutions, in addition to their normal purchase grants in aid, to assist them to acquire works of art and other objects of importance in preserving the national heritage.
