Mr. Grocott

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) how many police witnesses were bound over to keep the peace in the most recent year for which figures are available;

(2) what was the average sentence imposed on people refusing to be bound over to keep the peace in each of the last three years;

(3) how many people were imprisoned for refusing to be bound over to keep the peace in the last three years for which figures are available.
