§ 64. Mr. Hattonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make additional funds available to the Manchester City Council for its housing programme, in order to improve living conditions and correct design faults in multistorey housing schemes.
§ Mr. FreesonManchester's capital allocation for improvements to its housing stock has already been increased substantially this year. The resources available for this work in 1978–79 will depend upon decisions on the overall level and regional distribution of housing capital expenditure for 1978–79. Within the resources made available expenditure priorities will be a matter for the City Council.
