HC Deb 23 November 1977 vol 939 c790W
62. Sir D. Walker-Smith

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will make a statement as to the position and progress of the proposed dispersal of parts of the Property Services Agency headquarter organisation from London to Teesside, with particular reference to the cost thereof and the effects on employment of specialist staff.

Mr. Marks

Good progress is being made with the design of the new headquarters building for PSA and on the selection of work to be dispersed, but it is too early to give detailed estimates of cost. The move will not be completed until 1985, and the selection of specialist staff to move with the work will not begin until 1980, when construction of the new building is due to start.
