§ Mr. FreesonIt is not possible to predict accurately the effect of the budgetary measures on unemployment in this area. The reduction of unemployment will be an important aim of the Birmingham inner area programme. In the meantime the initial £11 million construction money will provide some jobs directly, and more once the industrial facilities and infrastructure have been completed.
