§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what estimates he has made of the total net overseas earnings of British manufacturing industry during the financial years 1977–78 and 1978–79; and what public funds are involved in the total operation, showing the guarantee of credits separately.
§ Mr. Robert Sheldon:The Government's latest forecasts of economic prospects to end-1978 were released on 26th October 1977. Details of public expenditure plans were published in "Public expenditure to 1979–80 "(Cmnd 6393) of February 1977, and in the" Financial Statement and Budget Report 1977–78 "of 29th March 1977. Details of the value of guarantees issued by ECGD are published in its statutory return to Parliament every quarter. All of these are available in the Library.
