HC Deb 09 November 1977 vol 938 cc126-7W
Mr, Peter Bottomley

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish in the Official Reportfor each year since 1971 the numbers of men and women, respectively, in part-time employment, excluding those over retirement age, whose earnings were too low for them to be liable for income tax; and if he will present this information as a proportion of all men and women, respectively, in part-time employment, excluding those over retirement age, breaking the figures down by marital status and number of dependent children.

Mr. Robert Sheldon:

The information requested is not available and could not be obtained without a disproportionate expenditure of time and effort.
