33. Mr. Bulmer

asked the Secretary of State for Employment when the Government will grant money for educational purposes to independent trade unions not affiliated to the TUC on the same basis as it is now being given to TUC-affiliated unions.

Mr. Harold Walker

Careful consideration will be given to any requests made for financial assistance towards the cost of trade union education and training for such unions.
