HC Deb 23 February 1977 vol 926 c603W
Mr. McCusker

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what has been the estimated volume of agricultural diesel and commercial diesel fuel used in Northern Ireland during the past five years.

Dr. John A. Cunningham

I regret that information about the use of gas diesel oil specifically for agricultural and commercial purposes is not available. The following information relates to deliveries in Northern Ireland of Derv, used mainly in road vehicles subject to vehicle excise duty, and other gas diesel oil, used mainly in vehicles—e.g., locomotives, tractors and earth-moving equipment not subject to vehicle excise duty, in furnaces and stationary engines etc.
