HC Deb 09 February 1977 vol 925 c715W
Mr. Ogden

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will give an undertaking that consideration of the planned elimination of estuarial crossing tolls will be included in his formulation of transport policy.

Mr. William Rodgers

This is certainly a matter I shall bear in mind, but meanwhile I am satisfied that the principle is sound. Tolls will cease in most cases, under existing legislation, when the costs of the crossings have been repaid.
