§ 59. Mr. John H. Osbornasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will consult with the Transport and Research Laboratories, the British Standards Institution, the International Standards 715W Organisation, and the Commission of the EEC on the possible production of a European Standard and the existing German Standard DIN 58216 of January 1974 of light transmission of tinted spectacles when used for driving, both with and without the addition of tinted windscreen; and if he will seek to assess their impact on road safety in poor visibility and at night.
