§ Mr. CarterStatistics of school meals uptake are collected annually in respect of a day in October, and the figures for October 1977 are not yet available. The figures for a day in October 1976 show that of all the children in attendance at grant-aided schools in Northern Ireland who participate in the school meals service 31.48 per cent. were in receipt of a free school meal.
