HL Deb 26 April 1977 vol 382 cc545-7WA
Lord SANDFORD

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will list for each water authority area in England and Wales:—

  1. (a) the average domestic bill for water for the current financial year;
  2. (b) the average domestic rate bill or its nearest equivalent for the current financial year;
  3. (c) the total of (a) and (b) above.

The PARLIAMENTARY UNDERSECRETARY of STATE, DEPARTMENT of the ENVIRONMENT (Baroness Birk)

I understand that the average domestic water bills for 1977/78 for each of the water authorities in England and Wales are as follows:—

£
North West 16.90

Anglian 19.96
Thames 15.02
Southern 17.40
Wessex 21.29
South West 23.69
WNWDA 25.40
