§ Mr. Michael Morrisasked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) whether the Commission for New Towns employs direct labour; and how many manual and non-manual staff are employed in direct labour in each of the Commission towns;
(2) what is the total value of construction work carried out in the last three years by direct labour departments for each new town development corporation;
(3) how much construction work has been carried out in the last three years by direct labour for each new town development corporation; and what proportion of total construction work this represents;
(4) if he will list the new town development corporations which employ direct labour departments, giving in each case the number of manual and non-manual staff employed.
