§ Miss Margaret JacksonMy right hon. Friend and my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Transport place considerable importance on the need for adequate road safety education in schools. The Department of Transport, which has primary responsibility for road safety, issued a circular in April 1975 which emphasised the importance of road safety education, and in view of this there is no present intention of issuing a further circular.
