HC Deb 02 November 1976 vol 918 c532W
Mr. Jessel

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will state figures for revenue in the current financial year from road tax and VAT for each main class of vehicle, fuel tax, and car tax; and if he will give figures for current annual expenditure on road construction and maintenance by central Government and local authorities, and for subsidy to British Rail.

Mr. Horam

The estimates for revenue and expenditure in Great Britain for 1976–77 are as follows:

the results of the questionnaire issued by his Department on the alternative routes for the development of the A27 available to the West Sussex County Council, so that they can be taken into account at the council's next meeting on the subject.

Mr. Horam

No. We wish to have the views of the council independently of those of individual members of the public.
