HC Deb 26 May 1976 vol 912 c219W
Mr. James Johnson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement cencerning his visit to Oslo for the NATO Ministers' Conference, and in particular his discussions with the Icelandic Foreign Minister Einarr Augustsson.

Mr. Hattersley

My right hon. Friend's visit provided a valuable opportunity to meet his NATO colleagues and to exchange views with them on matters of current concern to the Alliance. My right hon. Friend's talks with Mr. Augustsson and with the Icelandic Prime Minister, Mr. Halgrimsson, were useful in clarifying our respective positions.
