HC Deb 21 May 1976 vol 911 cc761-2W
Mr. Kilroy-Silk

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) if he has received representations to license independent commercial bureaux operating exchange arrangements for local authority tenants; and if he is considering taking this action;

(2) if he will list the independent commercial bureaux operating exchange arrangements for local authority tenants and ascertain the charges they make.

Mr. Armstrong

No representations have been made to me to license these bureaux and I am not considering any such action. Nor am I aware of any need to list such bureaux or ascertain the charges they make, and it is not my intention to do so. But if my hon. Friend is aware of any problems in relation to exchange bureaux I should be grateful if he would write to me.

Mr. Kilroy-Silk

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects to receive the report of the Housing Service Advisory Group's review of facilitating the movement of local authority tenants.

Mr. Armstrong

In the autumn of this year.
