HC Deb 12 July 1976 vol 915 c35W
Mrs. Jeger

asked the Attorney-General what action is being taken by Her Majesty's Government to implement the recommendations of the Phillimore Committee on Contempt.

The Attorney-General

The Government have, at present, no firm proposals for legislation on this subject. Some of the major recommendations of the Phillimore Committee need further consideration and the work of the Law Commission on Offences against the Administration of Justice also has to be taken into account.
