HC Deb 26 January 1976 vol 904 c44W
Mr. George Rodgers

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will now recommend that Chilean assets in Great Britain be seized to defray the sum of £14 million owed by the Chilean junta for 1975–76.

Mr. Rowlands

The Chileans are about £11 million in default on their commercial and government-to-government debt. Her Majesty's Government have made repeatedly clear that they expect the Chilean Government to pay their debts in full.
