Mr. Dodsworth

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many students have been accepted for courses at colleges of further education in 1974–75, 1975–76 and 1976–77 from the following countries: Ghana, India, Iran, Israel, Kenya, Nigeria and Pakistan.

In November 1974 the numbers of first year full-time and sandwich students enrolled on courses of further education in grant-aided establishments in England and Wales were as follows:

Iran 2,780
Israel 93
Kenya 870
Nigeria 1,618
Pakistan 574
