HC Deb 08 April 1976 vol 909 c282W
Mr. Trotter

asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether the navigational equipment on the RAF's Hercules aircraft is as good as that on HMS "Belfast"; and whether consequent upon the withdrawal from service of HMS "Belfast" it is proposed to adopt the navigational equipment on any of the Hercules fleet.

Mr. John

The navigational equipments carried by "Belfast" and Hercules aircraft are broadly similar; such advantage as there is in performance tends to lie with the Hercules. The question of transferring equipment between the two types does not therefore arise.
