§ Mr. Trotterasked the Secretary of State for Defence whether the navigational equipment on the RAF's Hercules aircraft is as good as that on HMS "Belfast"; and whether consequent upon the withdrawal from service of HMS "Belfast" it is proposed to adopt the navigational equipment on any of the Hercules fleet.
§ Mr. JohnThe navigational equipments carried by "Belfast" and Hercules aircraft are broadly similar; such advantage as there is in performance tends to lie with the Hercules. The question of transferring equipment between the two types does not therefore arise.
