HC Deb 11 November 1975 vol 899 c562W
29. Mr. Kilroy-Silk

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement on the progress of the discussions he is having with local authorities about the reintroduction of free schoolmilk for children aged 7 to 11 years.

Mr. Mulley

As I made clear in my answer to the hon. Member on 14th October—[Vol. 897, c. 1109–10.]—it is not possible in the present economic situation to reimpose the obligation to supply free school milk to all children of junior school age, and this possibility is not under discussion with the local authority associations.
