HC Deb 02 May 1975 vol 891 c282W
Mr. Biffen

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what have been the value and volume of carcase meat imports from the individual countries comprising the EEC for 1975 to date; and how this compares with the corresponding figure for 1974.

Mr. Deakins

Following is the latest available information:

quota of imported Chinese woven cotton grey cloth to individual manufacturers is arrived at; and what procedure, if any, there is for reviewing an individual's allocation.

Mr. Deakins

The demand for allocations from the quota which includes woven cotton grey cloth exceeds the quota limit. In these circumstances the normal practice is to make allocations to existing traders on the basis of their past trade and to make provision for limited allocations to newcomers from time to time.
